Examination of Microsoft Flight Simulator - Planer above REST

It's crazy about thinking that the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise is almost as old as me. Exit for the first time in November 1982, the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise launched more than 10 different versions, pushing the limits of what personal computers can do. With Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020), repelling the boundaries has never been so beautiful or accomplished as much. It is not exaggerated to say that Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most innovative video games ever created for so many spectacular reasons.

It's been a year since Microsoft Flight Simulator has been launched for the first time on PC, and now it takes off the Xbox Series X / S. What does a game designed for PC on XBox consoles look like? We will take a look.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is all about experience. There is no story here. You create your own trip and your options are almost unlimited. From the welcome menu, you will have access to a variety of different options to get off. These options are divided into two distinct groups; Activities and map of the world. Activities is the ideal starting point. From there, you can familiarize yourself with the very important section of the Tutorial Flight Training - Flight Simulator. Flight Training Sacrically covers almost every aspect of the flight. Although I highly recommend Flight Training, it may be a bit boring and this has a lot of frustrations. For example, if you fail at a tutorial, you will need to start it again from the beginning - and as some of these tutorials can be long enough, it can be a bit tedious to come back where you made your mistake. A "rewind" function or a checkpoint function would have made the tutorial experience a little more user-friendly. Another strange failure was the absence of the "next tutorial" option when you finish a tutorial - forcing you to return to the tutorial menu and manually choose your next lesson.

Once you have mastered flying training - or if you prefer to ignore it and dive in the vivid of the game - you will have a selection of other activities in which you immerse yourself, and it is the perfect way to really appreciate this Microsoft Flight Simulator has to offer. Discovery Flights are pre-organized flights around some of the most emblematic cities in the world. Want to visit Tokyo, cradle of Olympics 2020? It's here. Have you ever wanted to travel to London? This is also. How about a flight through Yosemite National Park? It's also available. Then there are landing challenges. In this mode, you will have a wide selection of sorted challenges on the component that will force you to become good at the landing. The beauty of these challenges is that they will take off in approach, but a variety of conditions, including weather conditions, will make your landing easier. Finally, there are trips Bush. The Bush Trips are small visits around predetermined areas designed to really test your skills in navigation.

After trying some of the activities, you can dive into the breathtaking world map. A literal recreation of our beautiful planet Earth completely recreated using a variety of technologies and cards Bing. Every city, city, street, lake, river, ocean, island, etc. has been recreated in Microsoft Flight Simulator. As far as I know, all the airports of the world have also been included. In the search menu, you select a departure airport and an arrival airport. You will select the aircraft you want to drive. And you will choose if you want current and real conditions - Weather, time of day, etc. And with a click on the button and a brief loading screen, you will find yourself on the trail from the departure airport, preparing the take-off. It's hard to say how big Microsoft Flight Simulator is. You can literally fly anywhere on Earth. In fact, if your goal was flying over any place of the globe, even in some of the fastest Boeing jets, it would take you a few months. The game also recreates the actual world weather with surprising precision based on real-time real weather data. If you hear about a storm to the news, you can literally fly in the storm and see it yourself.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most impressive visual shows I have ever had the pleasure of attending. Hover over cities, especially cities where I went, is a feeling so amazing. By far, everything seems so real and authentic. I flew from the houses in which I lived - and although the houses are not individual recreations, you can always identify the place you are looking for. The greatest disappointment is the lack of brand image in the real world that could have really gone to this world. By passing over a McDonald's real world, you will not see these emblematic golden arches shine in the night. All brands have been erased, and for obvious reasons. The amount of money it would cost to use the visuals of other brands in this game would be foolish, even if it offered a kind of "free advertising". Sometimes flying too close to the ground can also create a muddy and blurred effect on buildings. But if you play the game as planned, up in the destination sky in destination, it is a wonderful treat.

Pilot an airplane is not easy. And even if you master the intensive training training, you will probably still have some challenges. Fortunately, there are many options available as players can edit to change how difficult the flight is. If you want a more "arcade" experience, you can activate all aid. You can always stop your plane and crush you, but it's certainly much easier than the most authentic options - some of which I'm still too intimidated to try. Another disappointment that deserves mention is the horrible user interface. Obviously, no reflection has been made to the fact that console users do not use mice to navigate the screens. Instead, you will get this slow and laborious cursor controlled by your left analog stick. I hope desperately that a console update will come in the coming months to make navigation screens, both in the game and outside, a much more user-friendly experience.

Despite the incredible this package, it is always important to note that it is a simulation game. As incredible as it may be to take flight and steal, even me, I must admit that I sometimes get bored. The distances are represented in real time, so even a flight of a hundred kilometers can take more than half an hour. I often found myself to consult my Twitter and my Facebook while I was flying. The crash of your plane is also a boring experience - often leading to a black screen with a minimum of detail about what has passed away: no explosions or anything. In a way, I understand - they did not want players to crash on buildings, featuring fantasies of sick terrorism. But I always wish that there is a little punch in my failures. In the future, there will be an added DLC that will include reaction hunters - these will provide at least a much needed speed to really start exploring our planet in record time.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is the ultimate in game development. Using a variety of technologies, we, players, have the whole earth as a playground. All the meteorological conditions of the real world are here. Any terrestrial destination we want is available. And it sounds damn incredible in the process. Microsoft Flight Simulator is not without faults. The user interface is hardly user-friendly, opting for a simple recreation of the PC version without thinking about the console games. Piloting training tutorials could be improved to make them more suitable for grass drivers. And finally, if I have to strive, let me strive with style. Give me epic explosions or something to punctuate my chess - not just a simple black screen. If you are currently subscribing to the Xbox Game Pass, you do not have the choice at all - download Microsoft Flight Simulator right now and discover this incredible realization in the game. Yes, this game is a simulator, but it's a simulator that does so much things properly.
