Recompile Environmental Trailer shows a huge digital desert

The team behind the next Metroidvania adventure centered on hacking, recompiling, has just published a new featurette dedicated to the presentation of its exciting digital landscapes. The virtual recompile world is as surprising that it is from another world - and threatening, by the way.

In this game, players play the role of a semi-learned program fighting against deletion. This simple quest will lead to the birth of an intelligent IA, that this IA is in the form of the person's character reaching the true sapience or if there is something in the old and sprawling 3D ruins of the mainframe. This environmental trailer may not give any concrete response, but it shows deliciously atmospheric insights from the digital frieze of the game.

The featurette travels five different environments during its running time of one minute, each with its own unique balance of neon light and deep shadows. The text at the top left of the screen calls each location and specifies that they all part of the central computer.

The environments presented include the extensive neon hex database, the foggy blue Central Exchange, the shadow and the misleading fragility of Tet Rafeinery, the ICO biosphere sinister and the floating platform collection known as Okt Communication . Everyone has spectacular views and what is strangely like unique puzzle mechanisms to offer METROIDVANIA fans.

Recompile offers a nonlinear progression in the Metroidvania way, so it is difficult to say where each of these locations leads and what players will find. If this teaser is something to do, we can be sure that the results will be interesting to explore. And to make their way, of course. What is a Metroidvania without a fight?

Overall, recompile promises to be a magnificent trip to the heart of a computer, all running in a single second in real time. It's a way of hammering the difference between how humans and programs perceive the world.
