Legends will close later this year after open beta
Wizards of the Coast, developers and publishers of the Dungeons & Dragons table giants and Magic: The Gathering had trouble translating their video game games lately. The last video game d & d was aloudred by an assortment of problems and bugs, and, while the MTG Arena online card game client is still strong, there are bad news for magic video players - The MMO Magic action: Legends will be closed down later this year.
Magic: Legends invites players to choose one of the five classes, each corresponding to one of Mana s colors of the card game: white, blue, black, green and red. Legends entered for the first time in its beta open in March, giving players enough time to give their opinion on how the game worked and how it could be improved for the better. Unfortunately, it seems that these comments were not particularly useful because it was announced today that the game would never leave its open beta or would receive a full version.
Steve Ricossa, Executive producer of Magic Legends, made the announcement on the Magic Legends website:
Our vision of Magic: Legends missed the target, but we are proud of what we have accomplished. Thanks to Wizards of the Coast, we were able to offer the vast magic: The Gathering Multiverse to a wide audience and explore new angles within the established ARPG genre. We have learned several valuable lessons along the way and we will use them to improve future cryptic development efforts. More importantly, we would like to thank all the players who have explored the multiverse with us and have shared their comments during the alpha and beta test phases. We could not have gone so far without you!
In parallel with the announcement of the closing of the server, Ricossa revealed that all players who spent money for integrated purchases will receive a full refund. Magic s servers: Legends will be disabled on October 31, 2021.
