PvP has never been very important in Final Fantasy XIV. In addition to large mass battles, committed players were able to compete in the so -called Feast . Feast even had a ranking game mode, but was faced with a steadily decreasing number of players.
In order to make PvP more attractive again, a brand new game mode called Crystalline Conflict was introduced. However, Feast was completely deleted. In the following guide you will find out how the new mode takes place and what jobs are the best.

Crystalline Conflict: This is how it is played
In Crystalline Conflict, two teams from five players each compete against each other. The aim is to escort the so -called tactical crystal into the opposing base. You can imagine the whole thing as a kind of tug of tug. The crystal only moves when it is held from a team by at least one player. If both teams are within the district, the crystal is considered to be competitive.
At the beginning of the round, the crystal cannot be moved for 30 seconds. A round takes 5 minutes. If a team fails to achieve the goal within the season, the round goes to the extension . New victory conditions apply here. With a longer escort route, the opposing team must be held 3 seconds from entering the circle of the crystal. With a shorter or the same escort route, the opponent's route must be beaten.
With these tips you win the crystalline conflict
TIP 1: uses the quick chat! Communication is the be-all and o. Since there is no Voice chat option in the game, the so-called quick chat that you can use to use the PvP commands in PvP profile finds. The quick chat is prefabricated short messages such as “hello” or “attack the goal”, with which you can coordinate. TIP 2: The first seconds are crucial! In the first seconds of a round it is about which team does the first move. Since the crystal cannot be moved for 30 seconds, it is important to attack the opposing team. Try to bait an attack by the opponent team and send your tanks ahead. TIP 3: coordinates your attacks! The most effective way to take an opponent out of the game is the simultaneous attack of all group members. Use the quick chat "attack" to signal your team which opponent should be put on the grain. Tries to stun the opponent so that he does not heal himself. TIP 4: Set Priorities correctly! As in other PvP modes, Crystalline Conflict is also about choosing the right goals. First focuses on the Damage Dealer and Healer before taking care of the tanks. Tip 5: Damage & heal! Even if you have a team in the team, you should not assume that it can permanently heal you up. Put fronts elixir, recovery, weir and purification on the hot bar and use it if you are in the focus of an attack.
TIP 6: does not lead to hopeless fights! Sometimes it is better to withdraw and wait for the respandic group members than to catapult themselves into the opponents alone.
Crystalline Conflict: **** The strongest jobs
First of all, it should be said that the current meta ( m ost ffective t actics a ** Vailable) can change at any time and the power ratio of the different classes from the current patch depends. There are currently four jobs that stand out and are significantly stronger than all other classes.
Krieger
* roll: tank
The warrior is currently an absolute powerhouse. In addition to a gap closeer , which causes space damage and can numb several goals, the warrior also has a gap closeer who makes the goal more susceptible to damage. In addition, the warrior has an AoE skill that reduces outgoing damage, a strong sign and very good self-heal.
white magician
* Rolle: Healer
The white magician has the possibly strongest limit Break of all PvP jobs-a line-aoe attack that causes damage, anesthetized opponents, has a hot on allies and increases its own outgoing damage by 50 percent. This attack, which only has a 60-second Cooldown, is a real Gamechanger and can easily take an entire team out of the game.
In addition, the white magician has a group sign, a personal sign, healing and polymorph . Polymorph temporarily transforms an opponent into a pig and interrupts all of his actions. Polymorph cannot be lifted and has a very low Cooldown.
Dragoon
* Rolle: Melee DPS
The dragoon captivates with enormous burst potential and skills that make it absolutely fatal even at a greater distance. Of course, the dragoon can also use a variety of jumps in the PvP and is a master in dissolving negative status effects such as “weight” or “bondage”. In addition, the dragoon has a mighty AoE attack that harms all opponents in the area of action and reduces additional damage by 50 percent.
Battlepass-Series Malmensteine
With the introduction of Crystalline Conflict, the reward system was also revised. In Feast there were exclusive rewards that were remunerated by the best ranking players at the end of a season. Now there is a new Battlepass model that started under the name “Series Malmensteine”. You can view the current progress in the PvP profile.
The BattlePlass currently offers 30 stages. You can reach a new serial service if you have gained enough experience points. Most levels pay you with crystal trophies that you can exchange for rewards in the PvP headquarters, the Wolfhöhlen pier.
With the crystal trophies, even wolf straps can be bought, which in turn can be exchanged for old Feast weapons. In addition to the crystal trophies, there are also exclusive emotes, portrait frames and other cosmetics. With every new season there should be a new battle pass.
PvP portrait & adventurer pass: **** How do I change you?
The adventurer pass was introduced at the same time with Crystalline Conflict and is a kind of business card . It contains information and a character portrait that can be changed as you please. Your portrait and the portraits of your teammates are displayed in the team performances of Crystalline Conflict.
Access to portraits and the adventurer pass you get in the character settings . If you create a new portrait, you can adapt your background, exposure, alignment, facial expressions and gestures of your character. If you are satisfied, the portrait saves. Then click on the portrait's save slot and select “Use for the adventurer pass” or “Use as a quick portrait” so that the portrait is displayed in Crystalline Conflict.
